Constantine Skourlis invites Christos Sarris – 27/04/2022

Christos Sarris works as Head of Creative and Digital Stage Manager at the Onassis Foundation. In his 30-year career as a photographer, he has gained significant international experience, including Miami and Paris, and has worked on documentaries for the past 10 years. He is the visionary behind the concept and realization of Stages A/Live, a series of filmed live performances that can be viewed on the Onassis Foundation YouTube channel. In addition to developing proposals for spaces and artists, he is also responsible for filming the concerts. One of his recent directorial works TOMORROW COMES THE HARVEST with Jeff Mills, Jean-Phi Dary & Prabhu Edouard was filmed on Dilos Island and is already legendary.

About the mix:

This mixtape would play on a road trip across space and time and like in real life as you press harder on the pedal the line becomes a blur and radio stations turn into static and then there is music again and your favorite song comes along and all the memories of a love lost  or someone you danced with and you briefly touched become real for a moment until the air coming from the open window brings you back to “now” and the highway takes you for a last drive.

Tragic Rave w/ V3sta – 14/02/2022

V3STA is the experimental music project of the Athenian artist Alexandra Koumantaki.

Alexandra is the founder and artist director of the curatorial collective Hyperlink Athens, she is also a member of OMIO project, an art team focused on large scale installations. Her personal practice consists of light installations and sculptures placed in various landscapes.

On her music project V3STA she produces an array of ambient soundscapes that at times resembles OST film music scores of Sci-Fi movies, that never existed before. The body of her sound is based on digital sampling synthesizers and a free compositional approach. Her main inspirations come from retro-futuristic Japanese animation to cyberpunk dystopias and from ambient bliss to ambient hell.

For her guest mix at HKCK invited by M I R A 新伝統, she makes a selection of her favourite ritual ambient, experimental and noise tracks that span from the late 80s up to early 00s.
