Katharina Schmidt is a musician based in Berlin whose work spans field recording, improvisation, noise, generative techniques, radio art, and drones. She holds a master’s degree in Sound Studies from the Berlin University of the Arts and her music is being released on labels such as enmossed, Vertical Music, Slaapwel Records, and Flag Day Recordings.
She is a resident at Cashmere Radio and SVS Radio and has curated guest-mixes for Radio Kapital, Lahmacun Radio and female:pressure as well as co-curating the finale of Berlin’s MaerzMusik festival in 2022.
Slaapwel Records is a small record label specialized in music to fall asleep to.

Łukasz Warna-Wiesławski presents Tańce: transmissions from Poland and around, inviting guests who explore their connections to folklore through modern and contemporary lenses and make bold musical statements. First up is Naphta, whose hybrid of village folk music and dubstep is deeply rooted in the tradition of muzykanci, village musicians who were often accused of dealing with the devil and who could whip up the crowd in frenzy during their all night parties.
