This mix is a selection of my favourite jcore tunes and emo rave music by friends and inspirations. Orchestral melodies, melancholic synth lines, soft poppy grooves collide with high bpm hardcore drum beats. Sometimes also artcore, dubstep, kawaii bass, hardtek, or experimental. It’s like a dreamscape for euphoria and catharsis. bishiecore, from ‘bishounen’ — my alchemy of nonbinary masculinity I want to ritualize into collective reality. Feel harsh, uplifted, cute and sacred at the same time!
shasti (they/them) is transdisciplinary artist, organizer, and DJ born in Jakarta, based in Berlin and Bochum. Their practice welds performance, music, 3D, and mixed realities to create euphoric convergences of the body, magic, and technology. With LARASATI, shasti co-founded @nusaqueer_diaspora, a platform for queer people connected to the Indonesian diaspora. Other projects include collaboration with multidisciplinary creative ZAH under the name “Keymochi“, which recently released the tracks “Pressure” and “Burn it Down”, and a music video of the later.
