Ruido de Páramo is a solo electronic music artist that is inspired by the sounds coming from the Colombian Andes, a place full of magic that with its soundscapes nourishes his compositions with its textures. Ruido de Páramo takes elements of traditional music and puts them in dialogue with electronic sounds through current production methods. The project’s live performance transports the audience to a place where souls are liberated from bodies through dance and listening in forests of enveloping synthesizers and acid bass lines. Ruido de Páramo is a project created by SantiagoRL. It was born from the processes of experimentation with electronic music and visuals that he has been doing since 2007 with other Colombian projects. He has participated in different events in Colombia and Ecuador. Through the collaboration with different visual artists, performers, composers, arrangers and singers, the project seeks to nurture and warm its sound, becoming a means for collaborative work. The research process has been nurtured with the fundamental support of musical and visual experts, in order to build a collective scenario for the reinvention of Colombian electronic music. The project has released two EPs, several singles and remixes.
