FLAU – 31/07/23
DA ROCHA UM presents a melted summer trip through timbre-focused grooves and ambient gems. An enigmatic journey through cold, cozy spots and burning sweaty scenes, featuring underground Iberian artists among worldwide sorcerers.
DA ROCHA UM is the solo project of Alejandro da Rocha: Galician-Portuguese producer, composer and DJ based in Barcelona.
His sound takes experimental dark ambient as a starting point, contrasting the epic and nostalgia through an industrial and ethereal sound palette that lies somewhere between noise, religious music, traditional music and bass music.
His mixes and works have been broadcast on radio stations such as Ma3azef, NOODS, and RPS. He is also a sound designer and composer for dance and theatre companies, with pieces shown in countries such as Spain, France, United States, Italy and Bulgaria.

Nerve w/ Matthew Ryals – 31/07/2023
This mix features several artists I’ve been listening to as of late. Music is fairly diverse, ranging from free improvisational acoustic works to algorithmic electronic artists. Most of it is by fellow New Yorkers including some very close friends of mine. Brian Wenner and I each have a track here that is not yet released, but will be coming out later this year. Also, stoked to include a track by Taiwanese artist chiyou whom I was kindly introduced to while grinding away with emails in preparation for this summer’s tour. I’m ecstatic to be playing my first concerts in Asia, two of which are in Hong Kong. The first show is on Wednesday, August 16 at a secret venue presented by milkteawithoutmilk. The second show is on Friday, August 18th at Animato for their series called Tonal. Please find more info on my website (matthewryals.com) or my instagram @matthewryals. Many thanks to Nerve for playing this mix on your show and to Hong Kong Community Radio.
