Constantine Skourlis

Constantine Skourlis is an artist from Athens, Greece.

Constantine uses sound, film and the human body as his main tools for evoking apocalyptic images that are both violent and transcendental. His work expands through diverse mediums such as music, choreography, cinema, theatre, fashion, and has been described as “Powerful” (Electronic Beats), “Masterful” (Tartine De Contrebasse), “Glorious” (Echoes and Dust), “Haunting” (Headphone Commute).

Constantine’s work has been featured and performed all over the world in different contexts such as festivals, museums, galleries, nightclubs and theatres, including BOZAR, Greek National OperaBERGHAINInstitut FrancaisONASSIS STEGI, Alserkal AvenueMEGARON: Athens Concert Hall, Theater Rotterdam.

His critically acclaimed music albums HADES (2017) and ETERNAL RECURRENCE (2020) were released on Bedouin Records, a label that he co-curates alongside Salem Rashid. The albums earned rave reviews from press and audience alike (“A sonic Atlas” – A Closer Listen), (“Majestic” – BOOMKAT).

Constantine’s works are often collaborative. His latest work VANISHING POINT (2020) is a collaboration with choreographers Dafin Antoniadou and Alexandros Vardaxoglou. The work originally premiered at ONASSIS STEGI as a dance choreography and has since expanded through an experimental film & installation that will premiere in 2022.
