Jacobo “Jake” Rivera, born in Manizales, Colombia in ’98, is a multifaceted artist deeply entrenched in the world of music, known as a DJ/selector, music producer, and remixer, with a passion for the musical and aesthetic realms ingrained in his artistic and south-american identity. His devotion to classical 4/4 rhythms of house, disco, and jazzy house sets him apart, curating and performing sets that showcase the timeless allure of these genres with meticulous care. As a versatile producer, Jake’s early productions, rooted in deep house and organic house music, found a home in renowned labels such as Ketalar Recordings (Manchester) and Gentlemen Lounge Records (Bosnia), evolving over time to embrace a more pronounced classical house and disco orientation. Beyond his musical pursuits, Jake holds a Philosophy M.A in Naturalized Aesthetics, serving as a journal editor and college teacher, and co-founding Compact Rituals alongside his friends and co-founders, Josho (a.k.a Kramer) and Alex Üll, merging his philosophical roots with his passion for music.
With 3 years on the scene, Marwave has been characterized by her eclectic sets that take you from genres like house, disco and eurodance to the depths of pop culture, new wave and cult cinema, electrifying trips on the dance floor with synthpop and electro.
Her collective Discotraxx has promoted nightlife at the forefront with new sounds and artists from the city of Manizales with its motto of diversity “music in your language”.
