SÁTIRA

SÁTIRA is the latest alias of producer, singer, composer and DJ Circe Vazquez Soldano. By putting in dialogue music, emotions, and the body -through lyric and performance- the artist proposes a blur of barriers between genres; utilizing technical resources and motives in the way of winks and references to create universes through little inspirations.

Her debut EP OF:81702 is an amalgam of rhythms characterized by industrial soundscapes and nostalgic melodies from instruments that feel futuristic. rhythms throughout stem form  breaks, jungle and drum n bass, mixed with dembow from brazilian funk or more so post-club. Basslines are inspired by the obscurity of E.D.M. and melodramatic leads plucked out the trance universe.

Without putting aside lyricism, the name SÁTIRA [“satire” in english] references the way in which the artist presents her emotionality in her songs; which propose rude, drastic, uncomfortable and very much so satiric lyrics. Her second EP, SINESPERANZA.SINMIEDO, and her next singles speak of falling in and out of love as if it was a force of nature. Strong emotions but detached at the core.

There is no real person behind SÁTIRA. She is an invention, a tool created to process our emotions and face the darkness that entails to later put it all aside and continue our paths without that extra weight.

Persephónē Otherkin

Performer, dj – born in chile, based in buenos aires. Her proyect is born out of internal strength and life-story, stemming at large from the absorption of visual references that come from cinema, anime, manga, art.

Inspiration is also drawn from both the south-american rave scene and the personification of the internet as a scapegoat from reality- which create a blend of diverse sounds, genres and subcultures bordering hardcore-trance, break-core, latin rythms, ambient, experimental music, noise, delivering an apocalyptic message implicit within the mix, mixes and edits; crafting a soundscape of mass destruction to all social norms, making noise in the brain of those who hear it
