Show description: A showcase of experimental / musique concrete works of Filipino composers Dominic Laxamana, Joshua Ansale, and Juro Kim Feliz. Their works take on topics of office culture, nostalgia, folklore, neoliberalism, political impunity, and diaspora. Dominic Laxamana is Filipino composer for orchestra, computer electronics, and rock band. He delives in multiple genres such as classical, rock, and various disciplines of the avant garde. His music emphasizes permutative distribution in arrangements, polyrhythms, and modernist counterpoint. Dominic is a co-founder of MusiKolektibo, a group of composers dedicated to giving lectures on modernist music and releasing compilation albums in collaboration with fellow musicians and artists of other fields. He is currently a professor of composition and Filipino music at DLSU-College of Saint Benilde.
In collaboration with these composers are the poet Frank Aguilar, violinist Ramon Alfonso Soberano, film music composer Marie-Luise Calvero, and playwright Riley Palanca.
