Salvaged Tapes w/ Ryo Sugimoto – 09/10/2024

Born in 1988, from Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. Pianist, keyboardist, and composer.
He performs a wide range of music, from jazz to Latin genres like Brazilian, Cuban, and Argentine, as well as ambient and improvisational music.

In May 2022, he released a solo album titled fragments. Using a piano plugin, he specified parameter changes on the score for a solo piano piece recorded in a hall, presenting a beauty that blurs the line between reality and illusion.

He is also active in the unit “aqubi” with vocalist Yuuki Takami. Additionally, he performs support roles for artists such as Mugi Furukawa, Yu Arauchi, and Julia Shortreed

ermhoi from salvaged tapes – 16/08/24

ermhoi is a Tokyo based trackmaker and singer with roots in both Japan and Ireland. Her first album “Junior Refugee” was release from Salvaged tapes records in 2015. Since then, she has been working on a wide range of activities not bound by genre or style, such as composing music for illustrators, fashion brands, movies, and TV commercials, and supporting as a vocalist and chorus. In 2018, she formed black boboi with Utena Kobayashi and julia shortreed. She has performed with International artists such as Eiko Ishibashi, Phew, Foodman, Jim O’Rourke, Klain, Sen Morimoto, Harunemuri, Ibeyi Codeine.

Salvaged Tapes w/ takaramahaya – 10/07/2024

takaramahaya

Born in 1992, hailing from Kanagawa Prefecture. Proficient in a wide range of musical instruments from different eras and regions, with a focus on percussion.
Participated in various musical projects including Yama Futatsu, Tokyo Shio Koji, La Señas, galajapolymo, and Togo Kiyomaru.
In recent years, based at Alternative Old Folk House and Iijima Shoten, engaged in music production, solo activities, and improvisational performances. In 2020, traveled to the Republic of Guinea and received guidance from the master balafon player Epina Bangoura. In 2021, presented the live performance “people in the dark room” combining text and darkroom music.
