squish is an amorphous rhizome currently residing in Seoul, South Korea. Ever since a brief yet formative dwelling in the coastal town of St Andrews, Scotland, she has found her primordial tendrils eternally entranced by the sonic ticklings of heavy bass and percussion. Having graduated from running post apocalyptic subterranean parties in basement pubs and grain silos, their monthly residency on @hkcr_online and appearances on @ehfm_live and @radioflouka have cemented a fervid, consuming attachment to all things drummy and dubby.

!rene debuted during the pandemic at a small sex toy shop in Seoul called Puxxy Berry which was an underground community of LGBTQ and female DJs based in Seoul. The community and DJing experience allowed her to embrace all genres and cultures. Also her experience of studying at Bristol influenced her so that she started having her unique style of selecting tracks such as House, Breakbeat and Techno.

She is interested in a healthy lifestyle and raving culture since she had Crohn’s Disease. She is a member of a party OOOE! which promotes bright and positive vibe local House DJs. Successfully she made parties at Seoul Community Radio. She loves bringing the essential amusement that music can bring to a dance floor.

Blooming Hour is hosted by squish, who grew up in Hong Kong and is now based in Seoul. Over lockdown, she fell into a hole of breaks, jungle, and garage and never quite recovered. Since learning how to mix at a workshop for femme and nonbinary people at university, she’s played at a whole host of weird and wonderful gigs up in the tiny coastal town of St Andrews, Scotland.
