Cradled by the releases of Planet Mu, Hyperdub and Warp labels, Bancal produced his first tracks in 2012, following a live trauma in front of DJ Rashad & DJ Spinn. He co-founded Kriegspiel Records, netlabel offering compilations and eps in the juke-footwork style. His last ep, “confusion”, was released in March 2021 on the collective label Le French Work.At the same time, he develops a more personal and instrumental approach. He is preparing his first long format, freeing himself from the sample, a material with which he has worked a lot, but also from the codes of pure footwork. This upcoming album sums up his career and his influences, as diverse as they are, from UK bass music to ambient electronica and hip-hop.
