DJ Stoney, co-founder of Planar (a Melbourne-based creative label) is currently on his debut China tour. In Melbourne, he organizes raves, curates artists and DJs, In a world inundated with overloading information, he seeks to provide audiences with a sense of isolation from this overwhelming reality. Emerging in Melbourne’s music scene, Stoney explores the edges of electronic music, casting a lingering presence across the corners and alleys of this diverse city. Embracing a passion for organic grooves of tribal beats to the ethereal, dreamy ambience, his soundscape also spans from wet, acidic flows of synth line to hard-kicking basslines, speaking his versatile command of the dance floor. Stoney’s mixes shatter expectations, experimenting with divergent sounds which invite the audience to a realm of exploration and freedom.
Sacha Sanders, Julian Bonitz, cofounder of Sonik.sound is currently on tour with PLANAR, a Melbourne-based creative label. Sacha is bringing his trance soundscape and ethereal sensations to sonik.sound China debut.
Busy mixing underground events under bridges and in abandoned buildings from across cities melbourne to berlin, Sacha’s distinctive fast paced sound is influenced by Copenhagen’s bunkerbauer and Berlin producer DINA. Shifting between ambient textures and celestial
uplifting melodies, he has one of the most striking sounds to emerge in Melbourne over the past few years.
