For this month’s episode, we have invited the experimental DJ & producer Lynne AKA Rin Miyamoto to deliver her interpretation of a post-apocalyptic landscape. Based mostly between Tokyo and London, Lynne mixes her influences for experimental dark ambient tracks with that drum & bass.

In 2015, she established herself after winning the Samurai Music Mix competition. Since then she is well known for her experimental drum & bass mixes, exploring heavily into the obscured Grey Area zone with complex odd time signatures associated with labels such as Auxiliary and Horo. Her recent mixes on 꿈 Kkum & IO dive deep into the more ambient side of things as she juxtaposes sparse drum lines with distorted swells and textural noises, creating an ominous industrial soundscape.

Artist Description:
Lynne is an experimental music artist and a DJ based between London and Tokyo. While her music style shows strong sensibilities from her DnB heritage, a recent temporary move to London has furthered her development into experimental, ambient and textural territories. She has a particular interest in tightly woven DJ sets that have a strong narrative. She is a resident DJ at Astral Industries events in London and has recently started on her own production path.

Mix Description:
This mix is about a potential for a dystopian world and features my productions from my recent field recording project.
