Cult duo VACUUM has been strictly a live performance project until now. Since 2013 Andrea Blake (ASPS/CHROME DOME) and Jenny Branagan (NUN) have fortified punk shows and techno dance floors alike with their own sensory brand of sub-bass, abnormal beats and mechanical scapes. You can feel their distinct sense for physicality throughout their anticipated self-titled debut album Vacuum, which was recorded and mixed by Josh Wells and mastered by Enyang Urbik in 2021.

Weather Predictions: Cloudy Ku feat. Glenn Bennie – 03/01/2022

Glenn Bennie is the co-founder and guitarist of Melbourne band Underground Lovers. The band have been an integral part of the Australian music scene for over thirty years and have toured both locally and internationally.

Glenn’s distinct guitar style has been at the forefront of nine studio albums with Underground Lovers, which he co-wrote and co-produced.

‘Melbourne has long been the epicentre of indie and progressive music in Australia, and for much of the 1990’s and 2000’s, local band Underground Lovers pushed sonic boundaries in a manner that made them cult favourites’. (Tom Elliot 3AW)

Glenn’s other recording project, GB3, has seen him team up with Steve Kilbey from The Church. Their November 2021 release, Sakura Flower, garnered critical acclaim.

Throughout lockdown 2020/2021, Glenn also released a series of solo ambient EP’s on Bandcamp and will continue with some music in this vein into 2022.

Jannah Quill is a Melbourne based electronic musician and artist interested in exploring the boundaries of electronic music production and performance through technological research and experimentation. She modifies existing technologies (such as solar panels) into innovative light-to-audio systems, integrated with software/hardware experimentation and analogue synthesis to carve a distinct voice in Australian art and music.

She has performed extensively nationally within Australia including at Liquid Architecture Festival, Unsound Festival: Adelaide, Museum of Contemporary Art, Arts Center Melbourne, Ian Potter Museum of Art, Artspace, Arts House, Soft Centre Festival, Underbelly Arts Festival, Melbourne Music Week and numerous club and sound spaces including support slots for international heavyweights including Puce Mary (DK), Giant Swan (UK)  and Tzusing (TWN). She has been invited to perform internationally at National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (Taichung), Ting Shou Hear Say (Tainan), Korner (Taipei), Kyoto Art Center (Kyoto), Niman-Denatsu (Tokyo), Forest Limit (Tokyo) and Audio Foundation (NZ). Despite a predominantly solo practice; improvisatory and collaborative relationships are integral to Quill’s output with a range of national and international collaborations in various forms including ongoing collaborations with Australian experimental lighting design collective House of Vnholy and one-off comissioned collaborations with Fujui Wang (TWN) and Chris Corsano (US).
