“60-minute selection of compositions improvised and performed live on a Moog Model- D, through a recent post-pandemic shift back to my home in Ladakh since June this year.

Retracing old steps and retrieving lost images from a non-existent memory hole.

These compositions breed from the pure and slow hostility of the silent rinse of each season in the cold-desert environments of Ladakh, Tibet, Kashgar, and Kyrgyzstan.

The moon howls back at the hounds tonight.

And the cold is seeping into the vast.

Konghur Tagh sleeps.”

LI YILEI is a London based Chinese artist working primarily with sound, performance and installation.

Journeying from a fine art background to a place of greater fulfilment via musical composition and performance, their body of work is plagued with the polarity of minimalist subtle moments that are translated into abstract sonic languages.

Li’s works are manifestations of an inquiry into tropes of phenomena, existence, power dynamics, and the politics of sound and listening.

Constantly examines the discriminatory perception of the world’s phenomena in its subtlest terms, exploring the inaudible and diaspora body, as well as the practice of non- hierarchical listening.

Li often creates quasi instrumental sculptures, using obscure instruments and field recordings, improvising with sampler and daily objects. Li’s musical work ranges from cinematic atmospheric music to noise.

一體兩面為概念貫穿其創作核心，盼將自身盈於此在；同時摒除於不存在之時空間中：實即虛、存即滅。

Clansie Cheng Daoyuan is a Taipei-based multimedia creator whose works spans experimental sound performance, installation, and visual creation.

At the core of Cheng’s art is the convergence of two distinct planes into a coherent form, striving to immerse himself in the here and now, while simultaneously, and paradoxically, seeking to exile himself in this non-existent time and space: where the true equates to the false, where to exist means to be extinguished.
