Alejandro Marenco is a Nicaraguan-born artist creating electronic music
inspired by the vibrant cultural tapestry of his homeland and his own diasporic experience. At once
perreo and psychedelic, he weaves a variety of sounds from endless inspirations: Caribbean sound
system culture, Miami’s bubbling underground, and UK labels such as Livity Sound, Timedance, and
Local Knowledge. Elastic beats, industrial percussion, fluid synths, oscillating rhythms, and a flourish
for ever-changing instrumentation, Marenco’s mixes are reverberating moments of kaleidoscopic
euphoria.
