Matteo Bertini is an artist and sound explorer, whose practice focuses on the continuous experimentation and production of sound collages and music self-productions.
His ongoing sound research is based on combining sounds, noises, glitches, samples, eclectic music, improvisations and collective memory suggestions.
This sound project is a tribute to Alessandro Blasetti, the first Italian movie director to experiment with sound films. Mixing audio frames from Blasetti’s movie “Backstage” with music productions by Matteo Bertini, this piece connects past with contemporary sound experimentation.
