Miles Woodroffe aka ‘MileZ’: illustrator/designer/DJ from London and based in Osaka, Japan.
As a self proclaimed “genreless” DJ he experiments with a wide range of genres from techno, breakbeats, UK garage to hiphop and everything in between. He is currently part of a Japan based DJ collective/event called Fullhouse which runs weekly parties in Circus Osaka. He and his has crew have supported artists the likes of Conducta, Skin on Skin, Jael, Sam Tiba, Tohji and many more.
MileZ is also a self taught artist/designer. His influences for his art range from fashion, monotone manga, video games and pop art. He also runs a clothing brand called DLRS which incorporates his love for art and music.

In this episode, Cheng Daoyuan invites his friend Kyosuke Terada, the head of Japanese improvise/noise duo HUH, and the member of multiple experimental/noise groups such as MAI MAO and THE OBEY UNIT. He also do paintings, collages, VJ, experimental videos and other formats in which to achieve his visual creations. The theme of the mix ”呪呪呪 -[CURSE]cube-” is based on their favorites : Asian horror, dark atmosphere and Visual-kei.

Kyosuke Terada is a Tokyo based artist.
He is a leader and guitarist of noise impro-duo named HUH.
He has a lot of music projects, improvisation duo MAI MAO (with Mr. Shizuo Uchida),
Experimental / noise synth solo, noise synth duo THE OBEY UNIT (with DJ MEMAI), BAY CITY ROLAZ (with Kentaro Nagata),and so on.
In addition to music activities, He plays VJing for cult ambient duo as PRAYAMATE with Koki Miyabe (ENDON) or for events.
He also produces works paintings and collages, experimental video works, CD jacket, event flyer, MV etc…

It’s impossible to tell if the quietude and the blank expression on the face of the performer is a sign of relaxation or stress. I’ve learned that whatever sounds peaceful is informed by chaos, and there is always an order underlying the mess. I’ve also learned that it’s never as simple as it seems, especially now. Previously an audience kept the performer company, but now the lounge is empty, the audience is invisible, the performer is alone. This is lounge music for when the lounge is the bedroom, and the studio, and the dining room, etc.
